Richard Westerhuis is a conceptual fine art photographer with a fascination for human behaviour. In his enigmatic series ‘Is This The Poem I Promised You?’ he subtly portrays the concept of domesticity and stimulates our imagination. Driven by personal experiences, his themes often deal with vulnerable human existence and behavior in social interactions and affective relationships. He believes in the beauty of being vulnerable and different. But is the latter still possible in a world dominated by artificiality? With a background in psychology, Richard explores through photography which roles of individualism and collectivism influence our social interactions and relationships.

Our collaboration is aimed at further increasing Richard’s reputation as a fine art photographer, especially internationally, among art lovers as well as galleries and curators with a focus on the United States. For this we devised a targeted marketing and communication strategy with a focus on PR.

We strengthened the online presence by upgrading the website (artlogic platform) and made sure that Richard’s work can now also be found on Artsy, the world’s largest online art marketplace. In addition, we regularly post on social media about the new work, but we also show ‘behind the scenes’ footage of Richard.

In addition to attention in various international online and offline media, we submitted work for relevant submissions and we approached various galleries for collaboration. Despite the fact that many fairs were moved or canceled due to the pandemic, we were present at Unseen Amsterdam and Photo Basel.
