Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, the NOVIMAR project aims at adjusting the waterborne transportation such that it can make optimal use of the existing short-sea, sea-river and inland waterways, thus expanding the entire waterborne transport chain up and into the urban environment. 22 partners from nine countries elaborate on the concept of vessel platooning. Under the umbrella of NOVIMAR project partners aim to improve economic feasibility of waterborne transportation by introducing the concept of the vessel train.
In the NOVIMAR vision, future waterborne transport operations on short-sea, sea-river and inland waterways can be performed by vessel trains. Such a vessel train will consist of a number of vessels, the lead ship and individual ships with reduced crew or remotely controlled.
In strategic sessions with all parties involved, The Branding Boutique worked on all different aspects of branding from the outside in and from the inside out. These sessions resulted in the NOVIMAR Brand Key Model, which was presented in a workshop to all the partners. The Brand Key Model is the canvas which helps to position the project and the concept in the market and allows us to establish the areas that the initiative may in fact need to develop an effective strategy.
